A subsequent post-publication review revealed the following concerns: Misuse of the Eyring equation and incorrect interpretation of UV-vis spectroscopy data; A 50% discrepancy between the particle size determined by XRD and TEM that is not addressed in the paper; Multiple issues with Table 1, e.g., the values in the table do not seem to pertain to the same reaction, making comparison confusing; the table also equates “performance” with “activation energy.” Dubious reliability of certain citations. The Editors-in-Chief have therefore lost confidence in the results reported by this article. Fatih Sen, Hassan Karimi-Maleh, Rima Nour Elhouda Tiri, Fulya Gulbagca and Elif Esra Altuner disagree with this retraction.
