Therefore, these processes can be prevented with early diagnosis and treatment. Smoking can couse chronic diseases. Additionally, smoking is one of the most important triggers of anxiety and depression. No information about smoking was found in the study. Obesity can couse sleep disorders. Kalemci, Serdar; Zeybek, Arife; Bozdağ, Gülistan Huriye

Dear Editor; We read with interest the article titled “Use of methacoline challenge test to detect bronchial hyperresponsiveness in children with persistent rhinitis” published in Cukurova Medical Journal by Guc et al. [1]. This study showed that BHR positivity is high in children with allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis can cause false positive BHR. In addition, smoking and COPD can cause false positives [2, 3]. COPD can occur in childhood [4]. We think that it would be appropriate to mention this in the discussion part of this study.

Zeybek, Arife; Bozdağ, Gülistan Huriye; Kalemci, Serdar

An esophageal bronchogenic cyst is a rare form of a bronchogenic cyst, a foregut developmental anomaly in embryological age. Herein, we present a case that underwent surgery for the complicated mediastinal esophageal bronchogenic cyst and a thyroglossal duct cyst, another anterior foregut anomaly at the neck. Bronchogenic cysts should be operated on as early as possible due to the complications and a detailed and radiological examination should be kept in mind for other foregut anomalies that may accompany it. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case reported as the coexistence of two foregut anomalies.
