- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ3Mapping publication trends in oral anticoagulation in atrial fibrillation: A bibliometric and thematic analysis of 11,039 publications (2006–2025)
Coskun, Senol; Tiyekli, Erkan
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to systematically map the intellectual evolution, thematic development, and collaborative patterns of oral anticoagulation research in atrial fibrillation (AF) from 2006 to 2025. METHODS: This bibliometric study analyzed 11,039 documents indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (2006–2025) using the Bibliometrix R package (version 4.x) within the R statistical environment (version 4.3.1) for comprehensive science mapping. The analytical workflow comprised descriptive performance analysis, collaboration network analysis, keyword cooccurrence analysis, strategic thematic mapping, and latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic modeling. RESULTS: Publication output increased exponentially from 2 articles per year (2006) to a peak of 960 per year (2021), with subsequent stabilization that may reflect consolidation of the field. The United States produced the highest number of publications (3636; 32.9%). The RE-LY trial received the most citations (n=8788). Thematic mapping revealed two main research clusters: Motor themes (141 keywords), representing direct oral anticoagulant agents, stroke prevention, and clinical outcomes; and emerging/declining themes (43 keywords), including venous thromboembolism and pharmacokinetics. LDA topic modeling identified nine distinct research domains encompassing real-world data, safety reporting, and implementation guidelines. CONCLUSION: The bibliometric patterns observed are consistent with a maturing research field, characterized by a gradual shift from efficacy-focused randomized trials toward real-world effectiveness studies, implementation science, and personalized anticoagulation strategies. Future research may benefit from increased emphasis on long-term adherence, health-economic outcomes, and personalized approaches integrating genetic, clinical, and patient-centered factors.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ3Effect of psychiatric nurses' counseling on exercise behavior in individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders: A transtheoretical model-based randomized controlled trial
Yalçın, Suna Uysal; Bilgin, Hülya
Objectives: Insufficient physical activity, which is one of the unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, is more common in individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. This experimental study aimed to examine the effect of psychiatric nurses’ counseling role on improving exercise behavior in individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders through the TTM framework. Methods: This randomized controlled trial, with pretest, posttest, and follow-up assessments, included 61 patients from a community mental health center (intervention, n=30; control, n=31). The study data were collected using the “Information Form”, “Exercise Change Stages Scale”, “Exercise Processes of Change Scale”, “Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale”, and “Exercise Decisional Balance Scale”. Results: The proportion of participants in the "preparation" phase after the intervention increased (n=15, 48.4%) in the intervention group, while the rate of participants in the "preparation" phase remained the same in the control group (n=8, 26.7%). The intervention group showed increases in the “Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale” and “Exercise Decisional Balance Scale” pros scores from baseline to post-intervention, with these gains persisting at follow-up. As a result, it was observed that the counseling role of psychiatric nurses through the Transtheoretical Model was effective in improving exercise behavior and physical health conditions of individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. Conclusion: The counseling role of psychiatric nurses based on the Transtheoretical Model has been found to be effective in improving exercise behavior among individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, thereby reducing risks associated with physical illnesses. Additionally, the findings suggest that Transtheoretical Model-based counseling can be effectively utilized in the independent practices of psychiatric nurses, thereby strengthening their counseling role.

Yalçın, Suna Uysal; Zonp, Zeynep
Objectives: When considered within the scope of measures and measures taken under pandemic conditions, women’s mental health and violence against women, which is a global public health problem, are affected in adapting to changing living conditions. Our study aims to determine the intimate partner violence (IPV) and mental status of women during the pandemic period and to compare the mental health of women and the situation of IPV. Methods: This study is descriptive relation seeking and was carried out between March and April 2021 through online using Google Forms. During the pandemic period, 204 women were reached to determine their anxiety, depression, and IPV status. The data were collected with a form that included the demographic characteristics of women, their exposure to IPV and the types of violence they were exposed to, the “Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7),” and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). Results: It was determined that there was an increase in women’s exposure to IPV during the pandemic period, emotional violence, and controlling behavior were the highest, and normal-mild anxiety and mild-moderate depression were the majority in the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scale sub-dimensions. In addition, it was found that anxiety and depression scores increased in parallel with the increase in physical, sexual, and emotional violence and controlling behaviors. Conclusion: As a result of this study, the problems experienced during the pandemic period caused an increase in women’s exposure to partner violence and anxiety and depression levels. It is noteworthy that IPV has an effect on the increase in anxiety and depression levels. In this context, our study will be a solid foundation for developing an effective psychological intervention for women during the pandemic period.
